Sailor Moon Cosmos — teaser and announcement for the new two-part anime film

The launching of an official website for the project confirmed the release of a new Sailor Moon anime film for the summer of 2023. The feature film, titled ‘Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Cosmos’ will be divided into two parts. A teaser visual, announcement video, and the main production team have all been revealed for the event. The two-part film follows on from the two-part film Sailor Moon Eternal, which was released in early 2021 in Japan and on Netflix on June 3 worldwide.

Toei Animation and Studio Deen collaborated on the production of the two-part film, which is directed by Tomoya Takahashi and based on a script by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, with Kazuko Tadano designing the characters and Yasuharu Takanashi composing the music.

The teaser visual features Sailor Moon with a sad expression, which is set in a beautiful nightscape of Tokyo. Alongside it is written, “I want to see you again.”
